BT VS1¶
This is a British Telecom ISDN video phone used in the UK.
It looks like it may have been originally manufactured by Tandberg, and could be a rebranded version of the Vision 600/770 series described at https://digitaltmuseum.no/021026869265/apparat. The screen of @laforge's unit states "Vision 610".
The circuit board is labeled P00400 in several places, and the flash contains a P00400C HARDWARE TEST PROGRAM seeming to confirm that P00400 was the codename / part number internally at Tandberg.

RS232 port¶
The port outputs the following at 9600bps during boot:
RAM test...passed Flashsize: 4 Mbyte Break ?.... Start.... @
which looks like some boot loader waiting for some magic input before booting the main firmware which then switches to some binary protocol.
